Knowledge Mobilization (KMb): Multiple Contributions & Multi-Production Of New Knowledge

Knowledge Differences

Our minds create the world around us that creates our individual knowledge.  One person’s knowledge will never be quite the same as another person’s knowledge – nor will knowledge itself stay the same.  Knowledge is always challenging us.  Knowledge is always changing us.  As our experiences are constantly different each day – so knowledge changes each day. Knowledge never stays the same each day.

Your knowledge is not my knowledge. What I experience is not the same as what you experience. Even if we are in the same place at the same time. The inability to understand this is what creates conflict in our world. We are always trying to make people recognize our knowledge as “the truth”. When we can work together to find the common ground of varying knowledge we are doing something significant.

It’s important to realize that the world is made up of different types and experiences of knowledge.  When we grasp that every person’s knowledge is unique and always changing we can begin to be open to working with other people’s differences – and ultimately seek social benefit for all.
