Calling all inspired community members!

KMbChat celebrates its first anniversary! Since February 2013, knowledge mobilizers (translation and exchange specialists) have gathered around the Twitter hashtag #KMbChat to discuss knowledge mobilization (KMb), the challenges we all face in the movement of knowledge and the co-creation of that knowledge. Most notably, we come together once a month to share our success stories and learn from one another.

A new look! We are seeking a new logo to help celebrate our second year. The logo design should be recognizable, creative, and innovative. It should represent the connectivity, learning, and sharing of knowledge that happens during KMbChat every fourth Thursday of the month at noon EST.

What is KMbChat?  KMbChat began around a willingness to connect knowledge mobilizers (KMbers) in the digital space. It has grown into a popular monthly gathering that encourages all KMbers to share their experiences and best practices of the trade with each and provides a forum to learn from one another. Learn more about KMbChat by following @KMbChat on Twitter, or check out the KMbChat complete archive at http://bonniezink.com/kmbchat-archive/. Topics vary.

This contest is open to all KMbers with a penchant for design and creativity, all graphic designers with an interest in helping knowledge move, and everyone with a keen interest in creatively portraying knowledge mobilization through producing a visually pleasing graphic.

  • Theme: The logo must represent the goals and intent of KMbChat: to connect KMbers from around the world with knowledge and each other, to encourage KMbers to share the challenges faced in their daily practice, and to allow for KMbers to share their success stories. The design must be universal in theme and not nation-specific.

  • Colour: There are no limitations and any colours may be used. The logo must represent well in full colour, greyscale, and black and white as may be appropriate.
